Ireland gave out a recommendation mid April for everyone to take Vitamin-D. Since then the death rate from Covid has gone down without having the vaccination coverage of the UK. Update on the 26th of May 2021: Ireland has had 0 deaths now for 8 days.
For your convenience we have summarized the rules that apply to foreign entry into Switzerland and Iceland in these times of Covid-19. We have also listed through which airports you can fly to Iceland. On the same page we are also sharing information about the Reykjavik Volcanoes. It is very special when a Volcano erupts so close to a capital city. The volcano is no more just a volcano but a volcano geyser. It behaves just like a natural water geyser but instead of water it is magma that spurts up 100s of meters up in the air.
The Outdoor Retreat guesthouse is on the Snaefellsnes peninsula in ICELAND and between Oberägeri and Rothethurm, near Zürich and Lucern SWITZERLAND
These days we only recommend you to stay if you do not think you have the Coronavirus and for longer periods. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to avoid being in contact with many people. You can even stay for free as a friend or subject to certain conditions see Think Tank Foundation and Volunteer Foundation
Eggs and cheese products available direct from the animal friendly farm next door and superb spring water from our own spring, free parking and free high-speed Wi-Fi.
You can get eggs, cheese (- strong mountain cheese or milder cheese -the cheeses are meticulously cared for daily for 3 to 12 months). We can also provide you with canned food and other non-perishable items. (Milk is available from another farm close by.)
We have now placed the sensor in Iceland where the air is particularly good as all houses in our village are heated by hydroelectricity. There is particular very little fine particle pollution (among the best in the world - see the reading above). Other particles that are measure tend not to be pollutions, but salt from the sea, a little bit of pollen and natural dust from the nature and the birds nearby or occasionally because I open the laundry room door We will placing another sensor at our Swiss location.
